About

Ben Atwater and Matt Malick founded Atwater Malick in 2008 as an independent SEC-registered investment firm based in South Central Pennsylvania. Their vision was to offer a transparent investment approach, unbiased wealth management advice and an unparalleled level of service. As the industry has increasingly promoted expensive financial products, Atwater Malick began offering fee-only portfolio management at a low cost.

The phrase “investments in partnership” truly encapsulates Atwater Malick’s commitment to building long-term relationships, serving as a financial advocate, avoiding conflicts of interest and proactively communicating.

Attracting clients solely on a referral basis, Atwater Malick has experienced significant growth and attracted a wide range of high net worth clients throughout the country.

Before launching Atwater Malick, Ben and Matt gained extensive experience with large wealth management firms, overseeing investment portfolios and devising wealth management strategies for high net worth clients, complex family trusts, endowments, and foundations.

In addition to comprehensive industry experience, Ben holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Lebanon Valley College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Miami University.  Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designations and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Millersville University.

Atwater Malick prides itself on a commitment to the local community. Ben serves on several local non-profit boards of directors including the Lancaster County Community Foundation, where he is Board Chair, and Power Packs Project, where Ben serves as Treasurer. Matt is a committee volunteer for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania and Advisory Board Chair for the McDonald’s Charities Investment Program.
